My searches tend to be pretty random, Bombshell, I guess that's because I write about different topics, but I get some kinky ones too… freaky sex and erotic talk seem popular. I guess I’ve been running a sex blog all this time without knowing it! :) Your searches sound like fun though! I wonder what people think when they type in food porn and actual pictures of food come up? Are they disappointed or just hungry? :lol:
AFAIK there wasn’t a warning about the upgrade. A few people have said that WP couldn’t give notice because it would provide an opportunity for an attack but I don’t know I agree with that. They give us notice for maintenance and something like that would have been fine. It looks like people are starting to adjust now, though, so we’ll see how it goes. I’m impressed with the gallery feature; it almost makes up for losing my widgets…

You know, I’ve actually seen a couple of those searches come up already! They must be very confused when they see this post. Oh well, it’s all good for hits. :D

Well, at least yours look nice and random. I have a distinct feeling that I have a fetishist following. But, that's alright. I don't mind. It's not my fault that the foodie community calls yummy pictures food porn and I have stuff like socks and shoes up!

Ad the whole upgrade thingy threw me for a loop. Unfortunately I have not had the time to analyze if anything went missing from my page. I hope not, I'm too tired to fix it. Perhaps I don't understand some of the headers and it takes me just clicking on everything until I find what I want. Did they try to warn us somehow? Or did I just miss the memo?

Emus are wonderful, aren't they, CV? There's even a creation myth about them where the Sun was created by throwing an Emu egg into the sky.

The Flugtag was fun! I think I even saw one guy trying to launch a model of the Enterprise... all that work only for it to break! Great tv, though. :)

I wouldn't have thought of a catchphrase but that makes sense. Maybe for Colgate or some dentist? Still don't see why that would have ended up here, though. I don't like dentists. ;)

Yes, the rare bit suits sulz... not sure about the sausage, though. I'm not a fan of sausages and certainly not pork tongues and snouts! I think sulz is more like a box of chocolates or a fine bottle of wine, wouldn't you say, Muse? A rich and varied taste. ;)

And it was too good to let by, wasn't it? I just wish I'd known you guys didn't know about it earlier; I could have had some fun with it. :)

And that mother and son one, yikes! 8O I’ve had some disturbing searches a few times, ones I didn’t want to post… I’ve actually wondered if some of them should be reported but I wouldn’t know where to begin. At the least I’d like to know why they keep appearing in searches so I can stop it.</hr>

I get a lot of those searches too, Bobby; probably 70% match a post or at least make some kind of sense. Dragonball's a funny one, though... maybe you mentioned it in a post about cult tv shows or something?

Glad you liked the responses too, Bobby! I felt like it wouldn't work to take the searches too seriously, so I just said the first thing that came into my head... I guess irony's my kind of humour. ;)

That would make sense, if they came here after reading one of sulz's posts... although they'd probably have done better to look at her about page! I think sulz is also a kind of rare sausage, so perhaps they wanted to know what the ingredients were or how to cook it?

I love the word Googleage, btw. Who knows, if enough of us use it, maybe it'll be in the dictionary one day. :)

Thanks, CV! I wanted to have a bit of fun with the searches and I really enjoyed it in the end... I guess it's my kind of humour. ;)

I think the reason that line about ostriches is popular is because a lot of people get mixed up between ostriches and emus (our national bird). So I can see why it's caught on; it's like the perfect mondegreen.

We do have a saying about kangaroos, though: he's got a few kangaroos loose in the top paddock, which means someone's starting to go crazy. I've always liked that; it's so Australian. :)

I think the spell check should be back in a couple of days, SW; staff are working on making it compatible again. I wish they'd had it working first as well but hopefully it won't be much longer.

And I sympathise! I've had people tell me I don't know "how to spell" because I use S instead of Z... I guess they don't know Christmas from Bourke Street... gee that sounded weird! We have some really weird expressions when you think about them. :)</hr>

sulz once mentioned that there are areas or towns near Germany or Switzerland called "sulz", but she IS a bit of a rare sausage; I like that better.
However, if we click on the link we learn that Sulz is made from: "Select pork tongues and snouts..." And did you know: "If you enjoy the flavor of vinegar, Sulz is for you."
Hahaha!! I'll never think of sulz the same way again! :D
